The segment’s core activity consists in the transmission of highmethane and nitrogen-rich gas, as well as small amounts of propane/butane and coke-oven gas, via the distribution network. Distribution of natural gas is handled by six Gas Companies, which supply gas to households, industrial customers and wholesalers.

 

The gas distribution companies are engaged in the operation, maintenance and expansion of the distribution grid. The distribution networks  consist of around 119 thousand km of gas pipeline. The PGNiG Capital Group is continuously expanding its network to meet the growing domestic demand for natural gas. Gas distribution companies distribution network serves around 6.6 million domestic and business customers all over Poland.
