Skarv: PL212, PL212B, PL212E, PL262
PL 350, PL419, PL521, PL558
PL350 (30%) - PL350 license is located 7-8 km east of the Skarv field. The partners in this project include E.ON Ruhrgas Norge (40% Operator) and Statoil (30%).
PL350 was originally awarded to Statoil, Norsk Hydro and E.ON Ruhrgas Norge in APA2004. From December 2004 to December 2008, new seismic data was acquired and geological and geophysical assessments were performed. The new partners have decided to drill a well in the licence late 2011.
PL558 (15%) - the licence was awarded in the APA2009 Licensing Round. PL558 is located near the Skarv field, immediately to the west of PL350 and covers an area of 145 km2. From a geological point of view, the structure is situated on the western side of the Nordland Ridge. The work related to PL558 will start with reprocessing of 3D seismic. No drilling commitment has been made. The Partners in this project are E.ON Ruhrgas (30% Operator), Det Norske (20%), Petoro (20%) and Nexen (15%).
PL419 (25%) - the licence was originally awarded in APA2006. The licence is located in the northern part of the North Sea close to the Gjoa field, and covers an area of 195 km2. Well 35/9-5 was drilled in the licence earlier this year. The partnership is now using the results from the well to update the remaining prospectivity in order to decide the way forward for the licence. The Partners in this project are Nexen (45%) and OMV (30%).
PL521 (35%) the licence was awarded in the 20th Licensing Round. PL521 is situated in the Norwegian Sea approximately 50 km east of the Skarv field. The licence comprises 3 blocks and covers an area of over 1000 km2. From a geological point of view, the structure is situated in the Helgeland Basin. The work related to PL521 will start with new 3D seismic acquisition. No drilling commitment has been made so far. The Partners in this project are Statoil (40% Operator) and Svenska Petroleum (25%)..
