Ilustration: OfficesIn February 2007, PGNiG SA signed the purchase agreement with ExxonMobil for the acquisition of its 11.9175% share in the Skarv field in the Norwegian Sea.

 

In September 2007, PGNiG Norway was prequalified as a licensee on the NCS and in October 2007, PGNiG Norway completed the Skarv acquisition with an acquisition price of USD 360 mill.

 

From 2008, PGNiG Norway made significant progress in the area of exploration activities on the NCS, and submitted applications for new production licenses in the last three licensing rounds in Norway.

 

PGNiG Norway also identified a lot of opportunities to buy or farm in to the existing production licenses.

 

In 2010 - PGNiG Norway was pre-qualified as an operator in February 2010.

 

PGNiG Norway currently has 20 employees, including a technical staff of 12 with extensive experience both from NCS and Poland.

 

As of 30 September 2009, PGNiG Norway participates in seven licenses on the NCS, where the main asset is the Skarv field.
